Keith Richards don't want to be Depp's dad

Washington: Seems like the Disney shivers have prevailed over Johnny Depp's charms for Rolling Stones star Keith Richards, for he has refused to commit to playing the role of Depp's dad in the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels.

Depp, who had based his character of Captain Jack Sparrow in the original film on his friend, and has been desperately trying to get Keith onboard for the role, will now be wondering what he needs to do to convince the singer to play his dad.

"Johnny and I spent a great afternoon trying to get these things (costumes) on. But that doesn't mean I'm doing it. At the moment I've turned them down.

"They're shooting while I'm touring. I'd love to do it if there was no hassle, but it would be a side trip. I know what my gig is.

"The idea of working for Disney gives me the shivers in the first place," ratethemusic quoted Richards, as saying.
