Chapter 10
The next morning was beautiful and sunny, though Hear didn't feel that way. She was on the bow breathing in the fresh salty air when Jack approached her. "Beautiful sailing weather," he said, but there was no response from Hear.
"Come on love. You're not hung up on what I said last night are you?" He placed his hands on her body. She got a tingly sensation that engulfed her body. Jack saw this and continued ", no hard feelings then." Hear snapped out of her trance and zipped around.
"No. No hard feelings. I can see now that you don't need me. But just think about if you did have me. All the touching, all the kissing, all the pleasurable nights," she replied, caressing Jack's chest with a seducing smile as she said the last part. "Don't forget about all the rum darling," he said with a devilish grin himself. "Yes, you could have had all that, but no. You gave it all up," she rested her arms on his shoulders and started rapping his hair around her finger ", now you're left wondering…" Jack placed his arms around her waist, eyeing her lips. "… wondering what it would have been like," they started to inch closer ", what it would have felt like," inched closer still ", what it would have tasted like." Now their noses mere centimetres apart. Jack, shaking with anticipation replied "I do wonder." Their lips barely touch the lips of the other when they were interrupted by a "Land ho!" Hear rushed out of Jack's arms to see for herself; leaving Jack with his hands in the air where Hear's waist was and lips puckered slightly. He turned on his heels and followed her path, glancing at the sky and mumbling something to the heavens.
Just off the port side was a slice of green on the horizon, quickly getting larger. "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Treasure Island!" shouted Hear so both ships could hear. Everyone exploded with excitement. Jack smiled, letting his gold teeth glimmer in the sunlight. "Ready a boat," Hear said happily. "Jack…" he turned around to face her "… you, Will, and Elizabeth will accompany me." She quickly left to help with the boat.
While they rowed to shore, Jack never took his eyes off of Hear. "Enjoying the view?" she asked. Jack just smiled and looked towards Treasure island. When they got to shore Well asked ", where do we go from here"
"Shhh! I'm thinking," Hear replied. Will gave her a look of dislike and whispered to Jack ", what do you see in her?" Jack faces Will and takes a deep breath "A fiery soul with a fiery compassion for piracy that is rarely found in women today, which makes her more desirable and all together the type of woman I find attractive." And with that Jack followed Hear, leaving Will with a dazed look.
When Jack caught up to her he asked "where exactly is Silver's treasure love?" Hear looked a little confused at her surroundings. " Do you even know where it is?" he asked. Hear smiled a little then replied ", of course I do." She pressed on in the same direction as before. After they walked a ways, they found a little stream . Hear's eyes widened then said in a whisper ", it's real." Everyone turned in surprise and together said "what?" Hear, still looking at the stream, replied ", This stream runs right through the centre of the island. And guess what's in the centre."
"The Treasure," said Jack, his own eyes widening.
