Terrorist Linked

Eventhough terrorism has been going on a long time it wasn't until 2001 that we got our eyes wide-opened for it and considered it a new threat to the world and us. The Anti-Terrorist forces and The War on Terror actually features counter-pirate operations.
Singapores Security Department even stated in 2002 that the difference between battling pirates and stopping terrorists is often slight. A documented rise of the modern piracy also includes smuggling and maritime scams as well as terrorists operating at sea. According to the "classic definition" of piracy; if the motive is financial gain then it's piracy, but if the motive is political gain then it's terrorism.
That may now be blurred, but the risk of piracy increases as pirates and Muslim separatists etc are lured by Al Quadea or other terrorist organizations.
